Rick Mumey spent over two decades as a Houston firefighter before beginning his legal career representing working men and women in Texas, including many firefighters and police officers. Rick has aggressively represented hundreds of firefighters in their employment disputes with various Texas cities. Rick represents clients in state and federal courts, in arbitrations through the American Arbitration Association, and in claims before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Federal Election Commission (FEC), and the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC). His clients have included both large and small firefighter’s unions throughout south Texas. His background includes legislative work before the Texas Legislature, State Agencies and Commissions. Rick has also has experience with Federal Commissions, Agencies and Congress. Rick also serves as Fund Counsel to both the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association Medical Trust and the San Antonio Police Officers and Firefighters Benefit Fund.
